| The principal aim of this event has been to provide room for a confrontation of the foremost home production with the present-day Photographic scene worldwide. The Month of photography does not merely mean official exhibition floors in galleries or museums. Its concept looks upon the gallery as a place of social meeting and an opportunity for the closest possible communication with the visitors. 40 exhibitions are presented not only in Bratislava but also on other towns of Slovakia . Our ambition is to turn this event into an opportunity for talented young authors to meet experts in Bratislava. Diversity in photographic poetry, genres, types and styles, the past an d the present, harmony and violence, document and art, the instance captured by lens and man - that is an omnipresent challenge of the Month of photography in Slovakia |
